Some are, depending on size and construction. Our tropical rugs however are not machine washable due to the raffia and leather labels added however we have made it very easy to clean though. For general cleaning a quick shake out outside works to get rid of fluff and dander, alternatively use a gentle setting on your vacuum to suck and avoid harsh brush rollers. For spills dab (don’t rub!) immediately with a tea towel and mild detergent. No scrubbing, no harsh chemicals—cotton likes it gentle.
Not ideal. Cotton rugs prefer indoor spaces—exposure to moisture and sun can cause fading and wear over time.
Like all textiles, cotton rugs can fade with prolonged direct sunlight. Keep it in shaded areas or rotate it occasionally to prevent uneven fading.
