Let’s be real. Pinterest doesn’t prepare you for the chaos of parenting. Crayon on the walls. Toys in your ramen. Banana stuck to the sofa (how?!).
But here’s the good news: you don’t have to give up good design just because you’ve reproduced.
Here’s how we designed Nomada playmats for beautiful, kid-friendly chaos:
-
Memory foam that actually looks chic. No garish ABCs or farm animals here. Our patterns are neutral, reversible, and made for real homes. Think: “Bali resort with a toddler,” not “daycare in primary colours.”
-
Soft and thick = fewer owies. We use slow-rebound 35D memory foam, which means crawling, tumbling, or full-body nap flops are totally fair game.
-
Washable, wipeable, worry-free. We’ve spilled, scrubbed, and toddler-tested these mats ourselves. (Our founder’s daughter did quality control. She’s very honest.)
Your home doesn’t have to scream “I HAVE CHILDREN.” It can still be minimal, chic, calm—and yes, functional.
Designing with kids in mind doesn’t mean compromising. It just means choosing smarter materials, softer finishes, and brands that get it (hi, that’s us).
Your home is allowed to look like you and your kids live there—just the elevated version.
